Lovely photograph of the inside of Tynemouth Priory during it's use as an Victorian army barracks.
Taken prior to 1893, when the old lighthouse behind in the photograph was taken down, the row of gun carriages and A frame, plus the ghostly figures of the army soldiers, create a capture of a historic moment captured in time.
Possibly shot by the James valentine company.
