The defiant ones
Crushed by the weight of ice and rock,
Deposited on foreign shores,
now a defiant stand to the North Sea
when others have fallen.
All along this section of coast just of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, you can come across these small “henge” stones of clay and rock. All that is left of the cliff and land that once stood in this spot
